Goodbye MySpace
February 12, 2010 @ 21:41 (6 months, 3 weeks ago) - filed under general
Just a quick update to let you know that I cancelled my MySpace account. I had no reason to have an account there any longer: too much spam, too little real music fans, bad layout.
I have all I need online on twitter.com/pietvandongen, soundcloud.com/pietvandongen, facebook and of course this website.

To give you an idea of the amount of awesomeness, you can listen to us playing below.
See you thursday!

Firewood with Strings has been released as part of the Manualism 3.0 compilation for a few days now. Here’s some feedback on the compilation and track:
- Qbical – Nice diverse package, really like the tracks by Piet van Dongen, Elad Emek, Ryan Davis and Sascha Barth. Also the electronica stuff on here is top notch with Tundra’s Oasis Desert Walker being the one I like the most!
- Nuno dos Santos – Great compilation! favorites are: Tundra, Piet V Dongen, J. Flamman, Ryan Davis & Sascha Barth!
- Thomas Lauren – Brilliant Compilation of many talented producers. Love Examine’s Drop Down Low, Tundra’s Oasis Walker, Piet van Dongen’s Firewood with Strings, Ryan Davis Orchidee and Russian Linesman’s Hark! TOPSTUFF!
- Eelke Kleijn – Thomas Lauren – Nedika Examine – Drop Down Low Giorgos Gatzigristos – Mesopane Dual Shaman – Sideral (Luca Cazzoni bipolar remix) Piet van Dongen – Firewood With Strings Qbical – Covert Operations Robsounds – Kauhaus These are all the tracks that are going in my bag. Really excellent compilation, way too much good music on here! ;-)
- Toni Rios – My favs are the Piet van Dongen and Qbical tracks.
- Hans Tavera – “Thomas Lauren – Nedika” Super Deep! 4/5\“Examine – Drop Down Low” Loved the Groovy 5/5 “Giorgos Gatzigristos – Mesopane” Awesome! 5/5 “Dual Shaman – Sideral (Luca Cazzoni bipolar remix)” Twisted Sounds! 5/5 “Piet van Dongen – Firewood With Strings” Great Tech Strings! 4/5 “Qbical – Covert Operations” James BOMB! 5/5 “Sascha Barth – Dancing Nerd” Good Reaction :) 4/5 Robsounds – Kauhaus 4/5 Big Thanks!!! :) Will play all for sure! :)
- Eric de Man – Lovely compilation! Both Russian Linesman tracks + Thomas Lauren, Examine, Giorgos Gatzigristos, Tundra, Dual Shaman, Piet van Dongen and Sascha Barth are my favs. Can’t wait to play them out!
- Joe Fisher – Luca Cazzoni remix is wonderful. Also supporting Firewood With Strings! Too great tunes.
- Opuswerk – Very superb compilation! Really hard to pick out some favorite tracks. Those I’ll play for sure are Ryan Davis’s Orchidee, Piet van Dongen’s Firewood and Qbical’s Covert Operations, as those will most certainly lift up any dancefloor!
- Russian Linesman – Like the Ryan Davis, Piet van Dongen and Elad Elek songs the most. And of course mine! haha. I also love the Edgar Jack and Laurent Charbon coffee song.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to provide feedback!
Also, don’t forget to check out the rest of the excellent Manualism 3.0 – it’s full of gems.
